1993 Mumbai Blast Convict Caught In Campaign

Ibrahim Moosa, a convict in the 1993 Bombay bombings, was spotted supporting Amol Kirtikar, a candidate of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) for Mumbai North West Lok Sabha constituency. This was seen in a video surfacing on Thursday.

BJP MLA Ameet Satam criticized Kirtikar and Congress after Moosa's presence during the campaign. Moosa, also known as Baba Chauhan, was convicted in the Bombay blast case for carrying weapons to actor Sanjay Dutt's house before the bombings.

The prosecution claimed Moosa and others visited Dutt's house to inform him about the weapons delivery.

Ravindra Waikar who was fielded by Mahayauti is contesting against Kirtikar. Waikar, a former Shiv Sena member, switched to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena. He has been a prominent figure in BMC and served as an MLA.

The election for Mumbai North West is on May 20, with results announced on June 4.
